Summer is quickly approaching and parents are left to find activities to keep their kids active and busy!

Did you know that SITTING now attributes to a HIGHER mortality rate than smoking!

o   How so? Sitting for extended periods of time (6 hours a day or more) increases the chances of: obesity, neck and back pain, cardiovascular events, diabetes and ultimately can shorten lifespan.

Help your kids prevent  “tech-neck” and keep them healthy by trying these activities with them:

  1. BIKE RIDES
  2. MEET FRIENDS AT THE PARK
  3. SUMMER/SPORTS CAMP
  4. HIKE
  5. MAKE POPSICLES
  6. VISIT A MUSEUM
  7. CREATE AN OBSTACLE COURSE
  8. PLAY A BOARD GAME
  9. BACKYARD CAMPING
  10. PLANT FLOWERS, FRUIT OR VEGETABLES
  11. START A SUMMER BOOK CLUB
  12. PAINT PET ROCKS
  13. GO TO AN ORCHARD or PICK FRESH FRUIT
  14. LEARN TO COOK
  15. MAKE S’MORES
  16. LEARN A NEW SPORT
  17. GO TO THE BEACH
  18. GO TO A PLAY OR CONCERT
  19. GO SEE FIREWORKS
  20. WATCH A SPORTS TEAM PLAY LIVE
