Chiropractic Care

West Haven Chiropractic Adjustment from Chiropractor West Haven Dr. Matthew PaternaChiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of allowing the body to heal itself by removing interferences that prevent the nervous system from functioning optimally.

Shoreline Family Chiropractic takes a minimalist approach to care, with the philosophy that “less is more.” We believe that by removing what shouldn’t be there, your body has a much better opportunity to self-heal and self-regulate.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

There are many benefits to chiropractic care, including reductions in pain, improved sleep, calmer digestion, increased energy and better immune system function. We’re able to accomplish this optimization of health potential through some of the following well-researched techniques:

    • Diversified A manual adjusting technique, Diversified encompasses the entire body.
    • Gonstead A precise manual adjustment technique, Gonstead is designed to ensure biomechanical correction of subluxations (spinal misalignments).
    • Thompson Drop Table This technique features a comfortable adjusting table with built-in drop pieces, avoiding the need for torquing or twisting of the spine.
    • Activator Methods™ This gentle, instrument-based technique is ideal for children and those who are sensitive.
    • Webster A prenatal technique designed to gently balance the pelvic floor, Webster focuses on sacral stability, the key to a successful birth outcome.

We also feature Rapid Release Technology, a high-speed vibration therapy designed to quickly break up the muscle adhesions involved in injury.

The New Patient Journey

There’s nothing we won’t do to help you live a better life. There’s only one universal factor that will help you in achieving pain relief and wellness optimization; that factor is sufficient time and attention paid to those areas that need help.

Your care is Your Choice

Our office offers 3 types of care we offer:

Relief care is for the person who wants a quick fix, get patched up and back in the game. This type of care strictly focuses on your symptoms and may take as little as one or two visits.

Stabilization Care is for the person who wants relief but also would like to stabilize the spine to prevent issues in the future.

Maintenance/Wellness Care is for the person who has reached stabilization and wants to maintain their progress.

Ultimately, the type of care you choose is up to you!

When you first begin care, and if you’re experiencing a lot of discomfort, we’ll recommend that you come in for treatment on either a daily or every-other-day basis until you’re out of pain. Our goal will then be to quickly get you to the point where your visits only take place on a weekly or semimonthly basis. This schedule will bring you to the threshold of true wellness care, where the opportunity for optimized health is unlimited.

If you’ve never tried chiropractic care before, we’d like you to encourage you to join millions of others who’ve experienced its many benefits. Contact us for a free consultation; we’re ready to help!
